Position: Financial Analyst I

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Newark, NJ

Responsibilities:

· Position will assist with reconciliations, creation of Journal entries, and review of data to determine accuracy, creation of bills to our Vendors, etc

· Need an understanding of accounting, so can prepare the Journal entries

· Need Access skill to be able to do queries, comparison, and, summary of data (which could be large volume of records)

· Needs Excel skills in order to create Summary analysis, calculations, vlookup, Pivot tables to review the data, for accuracy, and, for Analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Perform variance analysis.

· Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and analysis of financial data.

· Reconcile designated accounts using proper accounting techniques, to verify account balances.

· Analyze designated entries to ensure accurate financial records; investigates unusual items as they are identified to ensure amounts are proper. Position will assist with reconciliations, creation of Journal entries, and review of data to determine accuracy, creation of bills to our Vendors, etc

· Need an understanding of accounting, so can prepare the Journal entries

· Need Access skill to be able to do queries, comparison, and, summary of data (which could be large volume of records)

· Needs Excel skills in order to create Summary analysis, calculations, vlookup, Pivot tables to review the data, for accuracy, and, for Analysis

· Good Access and Excel skills to manipulate the data for various analysis, creation of invoices, and, journals, and, review of data with other Departments.

Education/Experience:

· Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university.

· Requires zero to two years business experience, preferably in general accounting, financial analysis or related function.
