Job Description
Duration: 6 months + Contract
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
2 year’s experience in industry position required (not academic experience.) Candidates with more years of experience will be less of a match for the role. Senior level candidates won't be a good match for this role.
In vitro skills: mouse whole blood and primary PBMC cultures stimulated with various ligands, assessment of cytokines secreted in supernatant by ELISA; treatment/dose response with small molecules.
Molecular biology: RNA isolation; qPCR
In vivo skills: mouse handling, i.p. injections, oral gavage for administration of small molecules, bleeding, assessment of plasma cytokine levels by ELISA; tissue collection (liver; brain)
Excellent English language communication skills required.
Strong experience keeping excellent notebook records, including excellent written English skills.
Reading of pertinent literature is required
Data analysis; knowledge of computer applications, including word, excel and, prism Preparation and delivery of presentations.
Qualifications
BS required, but MS preferred. PhD candidates will not be a fit for this role
