US Path Labs has an opportunity for a Lab Operations Manager to oversee the non-clinical, administrative responsibilities of our dynamic and fast growing dermatopathology lab located in Boca Raton, FL. This is an in-person, full-time position that has a wide range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate has strong multi-operational experience, perhaps someone who has run a medical office(s) as a Practice Manager, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a quick, efficient and customer service driven manner. We are looking for a leader who can manage, mentor, and motivate a team.
Job Description
- Responsible for general daily supervision of non-clinical personnel and all administrative operations of the lab with focus on operational efficiencies.
- Serve as the primary point person with our 3rd party labs, dermatology practices, facilities management, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage logistics of delivery services via UPS, FedEx, etc.
- Resolve issues related to transportation, missing documentation or shipments that might prevent/delay processing.
- Manage the supply chain/inventory of operational supplies.
- Work with clinical operations to identify opportunities to increase revenue sources for the lab.
- Work with IT to spearhead daily/monthly reporting efforts.
- Serve as the billing liaison, ensuring data is properly transferred from one system to another.
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree required
- Previous supervisory experience in an operations management position.
- Lab operations experience preferred.
- Histotech experience a plus.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Excel required.
- Deadline driven, tech savvy, out-of-the-box thinker, adaptable, strong relationship builder.
- Must be a local candidate with the ability to work daily in our Boca Raton lab.
- Must be vaccinated and willing to wear a mask in public areas of the office.
