Job Description
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll for hourly, non-exempt and exempt employees, contractors and practice owners in accordance with government regulations.
- Enter/audit employee payroll changes (i.e. pay rates, titles, department changes, payroll deductions).
- Follow all processing procedures in accordance with payroll SOPs.
- Communicate with physician partners, practice managers, and employees to respond to inquiries, resolve payroll errors and issues.
- Assist in payroll reports preparation for audits, year-end processes, and upon managers’ requests.
- Submit and manage tax-related notices through ADP Smart Compliance.
- Respond to accounting inquiries and requests.
- Assist with Worker’s Compensation Audits.
- Manage benefit deductions arrears and repayment plans.
- Submit employee 401(k) contributions for each payroll cycle.
- Work closely with payroll, HR, and accounting departments regarding employee and/or policy changes affecting payroll.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee pay and personal information.
- Work on special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with multi-state payroll.
- Excellent working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, ADP iReports, ADP Smart Compliance and ADP Essential Time & Attendance. Experience should be recent and within the last 3 years.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, primarily Excel).
- Familiarity with payroll taxes, benefits, wage & hour laws.
- Experience with traditional and Roth 401(k) plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- High level of critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of multiple pay types is a plus (i.e. W2, 1099 and Schedule K-1)
