Job Description

Our busy Dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team!

Duties: 

  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record system
  • Assist physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history
  • Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
  • Assist physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials
  • Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining work practices that comply with established office policy and procedures
  • Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and peers
  • Oversee and ensure that patients’ needs are met and that patients’ are served in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Respond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient exam
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner

Job Type:

  • Full-Time – Monday-Friday
  • 7:30am-5:00pm  with an hour lunch M-Thu.  Friday 8:00-2:00pm

Experience:

  • One year of experience as a medical assistant is preferred. Practice is willing to train. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma is required

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferred

Pay:

  • Pay starts at $23.00 per hour and increases with years of experience.
