Are you a Senior or Principal Development Engineer looking to develop the next generation of automotive electrification?

We are seeking Senior and Principal Development Engineers interested in a fast paced, challenging and varied role, to manage technical projects, overseeing the product / project conception, design and initial product specification.

2018 was an exceptional year at Integral Powertrain, two of our high-power density Integral e-Drive motors powered the record-breaking run at Pikes Peak in the Rocky Mountains where the times for electric vehicles and the overall speed record were smashed.

Our Development Engineers will:

Manage and develop a team of Development Engineers, working together with chief engineers to deliver technical solutions

Develop future technical innovation roadmaps and prove out concepts ready for main program implementation.

Draft and execute contracts, track project progress, resource planning and manage project costs

Conduct engineering studies and investigations, and prepare reports for the Directors

Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost and waste

Oversee the development and implementation of test procedures, the investigation of mechanical failures or unexpected problems and ensure solutions are found

Interpret and analyse results and data, creating reports and documentation which can be presented to key stakeholders

Supervise and inspect the installations/ modifications and commissioning of mechanical systems at client facilities

Support the development of quality and validation processes, demonstrating through validation testing and system/features meet all specified requirements


About You

The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering subject, have strong experience in developing complex mechanical systems - ideally powertrain systems, preferably with working knowledge of Matlab, Inca or Atlas software.

You will have proven leadership experience, capable of leading project teams in the delivery of high technology systems from concept to production.
