Working on behalf of a local authority, Intech Recruitment are looking for an experienced Digital Services Solutions Architect for a permanent role.
Over the last few years, they’ve been on a huge transformation, bringing their ICT department back in-house. This is a big change for the business, as they re-establish the confidence in a wholly insourced service. It’s given them the opportunity to be ahead of the curve, adopting cutting-edge technology and innovating the structure of their systems. In fact, while other councils have only just started to think about an approach like this, they’re already using technology similar to the private sector. It’s an exciting opportunity to influence ‘what’s next’, connect their ICT department with the wider organisation, and deliver tangible, positive outcomes for both the council and their local community.
The Digital Services Solutions Architect is a role within Corporate ICT, reporting directly to the Lead Enterprise Architect and Service Design role and indirectly to the Digital Services Manager. It has accountability for all aspects of the solutions being delivered by the Digital Services Team and being consumed by the Council and its customers; ensuring that the systems and functionality available are being used as effectively as possible, focusing on the integration required to achieve end-to-end service provisioning, undertaking the necessary enhancement and exploitation of the systems and solutions and researching other technologies and innovative solutions that will improve the customer experience. This is a key role in helping Corporate ICT to align to the Council’s vision, the Customer Experience, ICT and Digital Strategies and ICT values. This role is paramount in helping to deliver, improve and shape both current and future digital solutions and services for the Council. There is a requirement to also innovate and bring further ideas, technologies, capabilities and solutions to the ICT Service for consideration, evaluation and adoption if suitable. The post holder has defined authority and responsibility for their own area of work, they will work in conjunction with the Lead Enterprise Architect and Service Design Manager to ensure that solutions are being delivered and developed in line with the Enterprise Architecture practice and principles that have been adopted by the Council and will need to absorb complex business and technical information and capable of communicating effectively at all levels.
