REACH Health Services of the Institutes for Behavior Resources, Inc. (IBR), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, seeks an Addictions Counselor to join its team of superb healthcare professionals. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position offering an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering critical health programs and resources to a diverse Baltimore-based clientele in a trauma informed environment.  

Job Description

Working under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, you will:

  • Provide individual counseling sessions and case management services for assigned caseload of clients; provide group facilitation.
  • Provide ongoing assessment of patient progress and maintain case records per policy and in accordance with regulations.
  • Provide necessary documentation in a timely way for treatment authorizations; submit billing documentation in timely manner.
  • Provide crisis counseling and general clinical coverage for all clients as needed.
  • Attend all required meetings (team/clinical/staff) and participate in quality improvement activities as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other Human Services field required, with preference given to Master's level education; and
  • A current and valid license with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists required, minimum Trainee Certification required.

Additional Information

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday; participate in rotation to cover Saturday dosing hours.
