Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Manager of Engineering for the Process Runner team, you will lead the transition from on-premises process automation to a full SaaS offering. Your role is crucial in driving innovation, team development, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Spearhead the strategic transition of the Process Runner engineering team from on-premises solutions to a comprehensive SaaS platform, ensuring seamless migration and enhanced functionality
  • Drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge features that enable customers to automate complex transactional processes within their SAP systems, continuously improving the product's market position
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of excellence in software design and engineering practices
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to plan and prioritize Epics and sprints, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely releases
  • Implement and maintain best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing protocols, and documentation standards
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize team productivity and meet project deadlines
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments such as Product Management, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure a cohesive product strategy
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in SAP automation and SaaS platforms, incorporating relevant advancements into the product roadmap
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to ensure clear communication, address challenges, and recognize achievements
  • Represent the engineering team in executive-level discussions and customer-facing events when necessary
  • Contribute to the company's overall technical strategy and participate in long-term planning for the Process Runner product line
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations relevant to SAP automation and SaaS offerings

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading full-stack engineering teams delivering scalable, production-grade features.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining systems and data-access platforms in a cloud environment.
  • Strong expertise in full stack technologies including C# and javascript.
  • Deep understanding of API design, cloud-native architectures (such as microservices, containers, events) preferably on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
  • Strong understanding of system performance and scalability.
  • Empathetic and inclusive leader with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and committed to high standards of technical excellence.
  • Comfortable working across time zones.
  • Comfortable making well-informed trade-offs between product delivery timelines, requirements and technical constraints.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a comprehensive understanding of backend development principles, software architecture, and design patterns.
