Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for managing and growing our Business Intelligence team. We are looking for an employee with a good understanding of controlling requirements and business processes, which are the basis for the corporate management of multinational groups. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, advise clients from a wide range of industries on the introduction or further development of their FPM solutions and implement the developed concepts together with your team.  You will be responsible for the disciplinary and technical management of the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be leading and growing a small team of consultants delivering solutions based on insightsoftware software, for clients from a wide range of industries, addressing controlling, finance, group accounting and data management requirements from both a functional and technical point of view.
  • You and your team will advise, our customers from a wide range of industries, on the business and technical aspects of controlling, finance and data management. You will act as an interface between IT and the specialist department.
  • You will collaborate with Sales and Solutions Engineering as needed to progress new and existing business opportunities. Handle all services estimates and implementation process discussions. You will advise on solutions architecture, present our Professional Services practice and will be responsible for SOWs,  
  • You will understand project status and facilitate achievement of project objectives and priorities.
  • Provide general management and professional development leadership to Professional Services team members: Coach, mentor, develop team members and conduct performance reviews, you will foster a working environment where all the team members feel part of the team,
  • Work with our Center of Excellence leadership in India to augment our DACH capacity with a complementary off-shore capacity.   
  • Act as an escalation point on active client engagements, whether escalations come from the Professional Services team, or raised directly by the client.
  • Close liaison with partners and alliances within the Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting market, in support of our Partner enablement activities.
  • Work with the team to identify process gaps and facilitate the continuous refinement of our implementation methodology and the adoption of best practices.
  • When required, collaborate with other Managers and departments (in PS but also Product Management, HR, Finance, Legal, etc.) globally, to ensure the delivery of customer projects in time and on budget, as well as to develop people related initiatives.
  • Provide capacity and revenue forecast to management and ensure effective staffing and scheduling of project.
  • Responsible for team staffing, including staff performance reviews and recruitment of new team members.
  • Accountable for team performance including Utilization, Revenue and Margin

Qualifications

  • Degree in business information systems or computer science or comparable education with relevant professional experience
  • At least ten years of practical experience in data warehousing, business intelligence and ETL processes
  • You have methodical knowledge of ETL and data integration processes. Data structures from databases, ERP, CRM and other operational systems or other APIs.
  • Ideally, you have experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or Cubeware Cockpit.
  • Ability to motivate team members to exceed company goals.
  • Project Management and team lead experience.
  • Substantial Software project implementations experience.
  • Strong business development and relationship skills required, Experience working with senior executives.
