Job Description

We are seeking a Corporate Counsel whose primary mission is to protect and facilitate the business of one the fastest-growing, most successful software companies in the world. The Corporate Counsel will (i) continuously enhance and manage insightsoftware’s global privacy and compliance programs; (ii) manage global disputes/litigation; and (iii) support our global Human Resources team on employment law-related matters. The Corporate Counsel reports to insightsoftware’s General Counsel, is an essential member of the Legal Department Leadership Team and is a key leader for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the global compliance programs (privacy, export, anti-bribery/anti-corruption and ethics), including: setting annual compliance goals; continuously scaling compliance programs; conducting risk assessments; continuously enhancing reporting and governance; regularly counseling and training the business on compliance matters; and supporting ESG-related initiatives as part of global ESG leadership team.
  • Oversee, manage and report on all global disputes/litigation to help ensure achievement of optimal outcomes on a cost effective basis, with the support of Legal Department teammates, outside counsel and key stakeholders.
  • Legal Department partner for our Human Resources Department for support on employment law matters, including: providing responsive, practical legal counsel; and, in coordination with Human Resources and outside employment counsel, managing employment related litigation, to achieve optimal outcomes on a cost effective basis.
  • Ensure companies acquired through M&A are successfully integrated into insightsoftware’s compliance programs and any acquired disputes/litigation and employment law matters are appropriately managed in accordance with Legal Department practice.

Qualifications

  • JD and admitted to a bar in any U.S. state.
  • 7+ years of in-house experience at a global software company.
  • Significant experience (i) managing privacy compliance, export compliance, anti-bribery/anti-corruption compliance and ethics compliance programs and (ii) supporting ESG initiatives.
  • Significant experience managing global disputes/litigation.
  • Significant experience advising and supporting HR teams on employment-related matters.
  • Outstanding team player. Passionate about building relationships and collaborating with legal teammates and key stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset and excellent internal client-facing demeanor.
  • Problem solver - ability to resolve legal and business issues practically and efficiently.
  • Highly responsive.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and timely deliver multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
