Job Description

Reporting to the Division VP, Sales, the Global Account Manager (GAM) manages global accounts as an overall account lead responsible for the complete insightsoftware portfolio, with focus on Solutions & Services. You will manage a pre-defined set of accounts spanning multiple account teams, departments and countries. You will build and sustain executive-level relationships, manage account-level profitability and increase growth in insightsoftware, Solution & Services. You will effectively manage and orchestrate the activities of matrixed resources required to deliver client loyalty.

Client/Account Relationship

  • Be the insightsoftware lead for assigned account(s) focusing on all solutions and breakthrough deals of strategic importance.
  • Provide a single face to customers to all Industrial solutions portfolio while representing all aspects of services, products, and solutions.
  • Build and sustain relationships with C-level and other important Business and Operations executives worldwide.
  • Engage Executive Sponsors and other Senior Executives to build strategic relationships which ensure long-term business opportunities for insightsoftware.

Business Management

  • Develop and be accountable for customer measurement (KPIs) focusing on longer term customer experience and growth parameters. Guide account team to implement corrective measures when lacking.
  • Help improve the technology footprint in the account, act as business partner to the senior executives by being an "extension" of the customer's business management team.
  • Lead BU activity in support of net new installation and ramp up as well as escalations, and customer communication.

Qualifications

Experience required:

  • 10+ years in a B2B software sales role.
  • 3-5+ years Global/multi-national accounts sales experience.
  • Experience managing and orchestrating the activities of matrixed resources required to deliver client loyalty.
  • Experience of successful achievement of targets in a Software Sales role.
  • New-business mindset that looks for creative methods to open up dialogue with accounts.
  • You recognize opportunities (sometime strategic, sometimes tactical) at organizations.
  • You work well in a constantly changing internal (M&A) and external environment.
  • Accustomed to working to a sales methodology (e.g. Miller Heiman; Challenger; SPIN, Medic, Scotsman).
  • Work to high activity numbers and accustomed to building own pipeline.
  • Present and recognize value to an organization.
  • You have experience conversing with C-level and VP-level prospects and customers.

Personal Skills

  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with executive-level prospects.
  • Experience digging into prospects' pain points, empathizing with them, and validating the issues they're facing.
  • You have worked with multiple team members across an organization (including partners) and internal cross-departmental partners.
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities to ensure enough time is spent across:
  • Enablement
  • Outbound Prospecting
  • Territory Management
  • Opportunity Management/ Progression
  • Administration
  • Preparation for Calls and Meetings
  • Self-evaluation and reporting
