Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, influential, and experienced Service Delivery Director who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  The Service Delivery Director will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of IT services to customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.  The Service Delivery Director is responsible for managing the service delivery team, budget, processes, systems, and goals.  The Service Delivery Director will work closely with customer stakeholders, senior executives, management, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure success of projects by achieving steady measurable progress toward defined goals while efficiently executing according to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and provide oversight of the end-to-end delivery processes with responsibility for the quality of scoping, budgets, forecasting, detailed project plans, and high-quality service delivery
  • Promote empowerment of the delivery team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged and making a meaningful contribution with high levels of quality for the team
  • Build partnerships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to determine the company's services, delivery criteria, and solutions for issues that may arise
  • Lead the delivery team, processes, systems, and goals while managing conflict, and ensuring the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently
  • Hold teams accountable for their commitments and assist in removing project roadblocks to deliver projects on time and on budget, whilst managing client expectations
  • Obtain input from subject matter experts and assess customer feedback to establish, improve, and refine service delivery processes
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and identify and implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and distribution of, and prepare and present status reports for stakeholder consumption
  • Know and use all key customer resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid resolution of customer concerns
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Be mobile and travel to client locations as needed

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in a customer-facing project leadership role within the software industry
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a high level of agility and ability to manage change
  • Experience managing resource allocations for multi-disciplinary teams effectively, within a given budget and timeline
  • Experience coordinating with teams across multiple disciplines
  • Deep understanding of project management software
  • Organized approach to scheduling, forecasting, and managing vendors and partners
  • Strong understanding of project management principles with demonstrated ability to lead and manage large-scale projects
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, customer service skills with a high level of comfort communicating effectively to both large and small audiences across internal and external organizations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively and constructively in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed team environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent business experience
  • Proven experience as a Service Delivery Director or similar role
