Summary:
insightsoftware is looking for an experienced collections manager .This role will oversee the collection process for insightsoftware managed within our Shared Services team by assigning professionals to collect unpaid invoices, handle customer complaints, negotiate payment arrangements, provide statistics, data analysis, reports on the progress of the collection department & ensure compliance with company policies and regulations for this fast-growing, fast paced financial reporting software company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
You will play a critical role in achieving insightsoftware’s mission of delivering top notch product and service to our customers by overseeing day-to-day collections activities for all Assigned subsidiaries across various product lines and scale up the function to support the integration of future acquired businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of collectors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team goals are met.
- Monitoring and reviewing collection activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Responsible for managing & coordination with billing, collections, tax teams and internal stakeholders for the information which can impact cash flow.
- Manage & partner with any third-party agency on inactive accounts for collections of past due.
- Work in close collaboration with collectors working outside the Shared Services team.
- Ensure right accounting of revenue & debtors to further ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
- Developing and implementing effective collection strategies and procedures to minimize delinquency and improve the overall collection process.
- Maintain monthly account receivable aging reporting and analyze delinquent accounts. Prepare reports on highest risk accounts including recommendations for resolution.
- Report weekly on DPOs, AR aging and cash collections.
- Analyzing and reporting on collection performance, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Preparation & analysis of monthly MIS of revenue provisions and debtors
- Ensure periodic ledger reconciliation of the top clients.
- Prepare analytical and ratio analysis in relation to AR for management to gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
- Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying customers and recommend collection team.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement.

How will you do it?
- Knowledge of various services and industry trends of collection methods for those services.
- Experience of building and maintaining strong control environment (risk excellence, experience with SOX, controls, etc.), establishing policies, procedures and strong internal controls.
- Enthusiasm – Exhibit passion and excitement and embrace a can-do attitude in an evolving environment.
- Attention to detail, thinking ‘outside the box’ & an investigative eye – Having the determination and going that little bit further to resolve tasks which may not be straight forward.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of collections working experience.
- 5+ years of People management experience
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Software experience preferred.
- Good stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels both within and outside the company.
- Experience with NetSuite & Salesforce a plus
