Job Description

insightsoftware is seeking a Product Operations Analyst to join our Product Management team and help drive the successful execution and measurement of our strategic initiatives. Your mission will be to enable the product teams to operate as effectively as possible by building a foundation of excellence through metrics, infrastructure, product processes, and best practices.  Curious what a day in the life of Product Operations Data Analyst will be like?  On any day you may be managing an emergency Product SKU Request, pulling and analyzing data for trends and metrics from various systems, onboarding a new Product Team member or working on project management activities.  This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of responsibilities and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis and Reporting

  • Key point of contact for Product Management Leadership for reporting requirements to support product P&L ownership. 
  • Conduct analysis across a variety of data sources, including but not limited to: CRM, Data Warehouse, financial reporting, product usage, pricing, NPS, customer feedback, feature requests, and retention to identify and organize the right resources and manage crucial data to empower product teams.
  • Build reports and dashboards based on cross-functional stakeholder requirements to monitor projects and drive operational efficiencies with the ability to understand and communicate key insights to an executive audience.
  • Review data to identify key insights into business operations while leveraging the data to solve business problems.  You will also communicate this information to company leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Establish, organize, and document report libraries, and develop self-service reporting capabilities for the product organization.

 

Product SKU Maintenance

  • Manage and lead product master update requests (new SKU requests and updates to existing SKUs).  This includes managing a queue of requests, entering new requests, training PMs on how to use the data request templates, collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy of submitted product request templates, prioritizing, testing and approving deployment to production systems.
  • Manage updates to Salesforce CPQ product level data (product lines, product families, etc.) driving consistency and accuracy for reporting purposes.
  • Lead integrations of acquired products, collaborating with Product Managers, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Business Applications to build out Product SKUs that align to ISW Salesforce requirements. 
  • Collaborate with teams to build out testing use cases and scripts.

 

Systems and Onboarding

  • Manage and maintain key Product Management tools and systems including Aha! (roadmaps, user feedback and releases), Jira, and Salesforce.  Assign and manage licenses.
  • Provide onboarding sessions to new Product team members ensuring they have access to the required systems and resources. Maintain Product team onboarding checklist template.
  • Update Product team Confluence site to ensure up to date instructions, links, documentation, and resources.
  • Manage and maintain Product team SharePoint site (Intranet)
  • Schedule monthly Product team Lunch and Learn sessions gaining input on relevant topics, securing presenters, and uploading recordings and presentations to Product SharePoint site.

Project Management

  • Manage various strategic projects as needed
  • Simultaneously manage multiple large-scale projects with deliverables and interdependencies involving remote product development teams
  • Track project deliverables and schedules, with a strong focus on progress measurement, analysis, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Product Operations, Agile Software Development, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, array functions etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Salesforce CPQ experience (or other CPQ tool)
  • Proficiency working with CRM data (Salesforce) and product roadmap tools (for example Aha!)
  • Project Management experience leading large cross-functional strategic projects
  • Strong critical thinking, detail oriented, and logical approach to solving problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Able to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adjust to changes in project priorities
