Job Description

This Instructional Designer role is responsible for the development of high-impact technology-based eLearning content to educate internal and external audiences on insightsoftware product features and functionality. The Multimedia Instructional Designer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of self-paced learning deliverables.   A successful candidate must be able to utilize instructional design strategies that focus on creative ways to deliver product learning and create interactivity and engagement. They must have the ability to work with a team, but also excel independently, and effectively work in a faced paced environment with tight deadlines while consistently delivering high quality work.  They must have strong project management skills and learning and development (L&D) experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute learning curriculum and other technology-based product learning solutions for internal and external audiences using storyboards, design plans, and learning journeys
  • Design and develop multimedia assets (video, animations, and interactive content) to align with learning goals and adult learning principles
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to identify learning needs, plan e-learning programs, develop storyboards, and develop course content based on approved storyboards
  • Identify relevant interactive design alternatives that will most effectively accomplish the performance objectives and learning outcomes
  • Support multiple product lines concurrently
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the learning and performance solutions through the use of eLearning
  • Apply creative thinking, problem solving and domain expertise when developing innovative learning programs and solutions.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a related eLearning instructional content, development or delivery field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years related experience with adult learning instructional design and eLearning development
  • Knowledge of content authoring and multimedia software such as Articulate Storyline 360 (including Rise), Camtasia, SnagIt
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management and organization skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while flexibly managing multiple competing priorities
  • Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and deliver results
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplined team with geographically distributed co-workers
