Job Description

insightsoftware is seeking an Acquisition Integration Project Manager to support the diligence activities and integration efforts of our future acquisitions. We’re looking for an experienced individual who excels in partnering and influencing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Acquisition Integration, the Project Manager will work closely with senior executives, acquired company management, and internal cross-functional teams to coordinate diligence activities, execute the integration playbook, and coordinate the development, implementation, and execution of integration plans. The position will also participate in the M&A transaction process as well as other initiatives spearheaded by the Corporate Development team.

The primary objective is to ensure the integrity and success of the integration plan, achieving steady measurable progress toward defined goals; the efficient execution of project management practices; regular reporting; and monitoring and measurement of success metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the acquisition team prior to close (due diligence, Project Management, etc.)
  • Serve as an active participant in diligence of target company to facilitate the evaluation of key issues, assessing integration challenges and development of post-close plans
  • Closely partner with senior executives and functional workstream leaders to architect integration strategies closely aligned with insightsoftware’s operating model; drive timely and objective decision-making with sound advice and good judgment
  • Document detailed integration planning with milestones, timelines, resources, and costs required to achieve deal specific value and synergies
  • Management of the overall execution of the integration plan from Day 1 on-boarding to completion of all integration activities
  • Develop and maintain momentum and urgency across all functional participants required to execute on workplan and maintain alignment with the deal rationale
  • Facilitate weekly project team meetings to provide status on progress and milestone achievement.
  • Own integration governance, and manage decisions and progress reports for Integration team
  • Present regular integration updates to PMO, Steering Committee, and senior leadership to ensure awareness of critical issues/risks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity
  • Collect lessons learned and ideas for continuous improvement as the project progresses
  • Provide project management support to the GM, EMEA when not actively driving an acquisition integration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Very strong experience in Project Management, Acquisition Integration, or related experience required
  • Post Acquisition (M&A) Project Management experience required
  • Knowledge of and experience in leading complex post-acquisition activities in technology companies
  • Exceptional Project Management skills with demonstrated capability in complex environments
  • Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings and work across multiple teams
  • Proven expertise in creating accurate and regular reporting and documentation
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills interacting with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to execute against project plan, managing to deadlines and working collaboratively on a global cross functional level
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones while driving accountability for shared results
  • Experience with a rapidly scaling technology/software business is a plus
