Job Description

This Learning & Development Manager role is responsible for the design and execution of high-impact talent programs that support the company’s strategic business objectives and employee value proposition - to become your best professional self. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent management programs.   A successful candidate must possess strong business acumen, sophisticated project management skills, and learning and development experience.  This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

  • Operate in both strategic and hands-on capacities, accountable for the design, development and implementation of L&D  programs (competency and career mobility architectures, management & leadership development, DEI) processes and systems to support the company’s talent strategy and DEI goals
  • Design, implement and manage organization-wide management and leadership development solutions that drive positive and measurable impact on the culture and performance, resulting in retention of top talent
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors, universities and other leading edge resources. 
  • Provide counsel and strategy on learning and development programs to meet business gaps and recommends approach; gains approval from HR and business leadership prior to beginning a project; initiates project charter and consults with L&D and HR leadership, to secure Strategic Subject Matter Experts and communicates plan and progress.
  • Provide best-in-class recommendations on tools (e.g., 360 assessment, coaching, development planning, mentoring) required to support L&D management and leadership development programs.
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and development efforts and communicate results.
  • Identify, develop, and implement competency and career mobility architectures and tools to support professional development.
  • Manages programs and initiatives that focus on promoting employee appreciation, employee engagement, and well-being.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and direction to L&D Team members when working together to solve challenges across the employee lifecycle and when helping shape enterprise program delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to and work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand the evolving needs of the business and identify opportunities to deliver best-in-class talent management solutions
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices for leadership and career development programs to ensure the organization is prepared with effective tools, infrastructure, and methodologies to meet the current and future talent needs of the business

Qualifications:

  • Effective consulting, interpersonal, relationship and influencing skills
  • Superior knowledge of the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning programs and performance intervention strategies
  • Proven ability in collaborating with business leaders in the creation and achievement of people strategies; the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management and influence multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage large projects through others across multiple locations with demonstrated expertise
  • Subject matter expertise in Talent and Organization Development methods and practices, including leadership development, engagement, and emotional intelligence
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in managing technology-based learning tools and resources including Talent Management and Learning Management Systems; knowledge of Workday Talent and Learning a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and a very fast-paced environment

Work Experience

  • 8+ years experience in Human Resource Consulting, HR Operations, Learning & Development, or Talent Management
  • 2+ years at a managerial level
  • Consulting experience using highly developed interpersonal, influence, and relationship skills
  • Experience in the technology industry, preferably a significant portion in a learning and development environment

 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology or other relevant field; advanced degree preferred in Organizational Development or Training
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Learning & Development; Certifications in tools such as Insights Discovery, MBTI, or LSI a plus.
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) a plus
  • PMP Certification a plus
