Job Description

Summary:

We seek a bright and highly-motivated professional that can join our Insightsoftware Tax team as an Senior Tax Analyst.  This person will be part of a team that provides value to keep the estimated tax rate low, improves the overall cash position, maintains accurate tax reporting, advises business units on tax matters and assists in tax audits and tax planning initiatives

What will you do?

  • Prepare VAT/GST and EC Sales returns in EMEA and APAC.
  • Complete quarterly VAT/GST balance sheet reconciliations after each return is submitted.
  • Respond to Salesforce cases related to customers and internal stakeholders’ queries.
  • Write process notes related to VAT.
  • Help with any tax audits and legal entity rationalization queries.
  • Stay informed regarding indirect tax regulations for multiple countries. Monitor business processes for compliance with current rules and changes.
  • Support the efficient handling of insight’s sales and use tax engine.
  • Provide support including tax research for business partners.
  • Research, resolve and respond to tax notices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax/accounting
  • Have the ability to research, interpret, and apply tax regulations for most or all states/jurisdictions in particular for EMEA/UK.
  • CPA/CA or a Post Graduate degree in accounting
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and ability to create Ad Hoc reports
  • Willingness to work in shifts (support US time zone during month/quarter/year-end)
  • Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Team player, enjoys being part of a group, driven to add value to the position
