As part of our Product Management team, the Program Manager – Strategic Initiatives role is responsible for the successful execution of product and program launches, including changes to business processes, systems, and technologies, with an emphasis on cross-functional organizational readiness and enablement. You’ll bring teams together and align them to a common goal, ensuring all activities and tasks are aligned and delivered to meet specific program outcomes.  This role will be instrumental in building out readiness practices, processes, and success measures across the insightsoftware Product organization.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a combination of software product knowledge, operational knowledge, stakeholder consultation, user experience, and project management skills. He/she must also be a strong people influencer and driver for a shared future vision, collaborating and guiding the work of teams of product managers, professional services, project teams, and implementation teams to ensure a successful launch occurs for our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Launch Leadership: Lead development of and communicate comprehensive commercialization strategies and launch plans.
  • Readiness Project Management: Work across organizational boundaries to ensure that all go-to-market goals and critical milestones are met.
  • Operational Readiness: Drive operational readiness to ensure that the product can be properly marketed, sold, contracted, trained, billed, supported and analyzed for utilization. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders around key BAU activities.
  • Defining Success: Works with Product Management, Engineering, Business Leadership, Product Marketing and Operational Partners to ensure success of product launches can be measured. Establish / strengthen proper internal controls to ensure compliance of established procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Drives processes that elevate our go-to-marketing planning and ensuring operational readiness.
  • Program Management: Develop program management strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, tracking KPI metrics, and end-user training.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience managing software product and program launches as they relate to product strategy, product adoption, and customer engagement, particularly in areas that drive operational excellence and self-service, both internally and for end-users.
  • Advanced Project Management skills including demonstrated experience managing a full load of projects of significant scope, complexity and strategic importance to the company concurrently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of product development lifecycle and product launch practices and processes.
  • Demonstrated success running product launches that cross multiple departments, business units, processes and technologies.
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands in fast-paced, high-growth rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage supporting departments and obtain buy-in.
  • Strong collaborating and influencing skills with the ability to lead without authority.
  • Comfort and ability communicating with higher-level management.
  • Comfort communicating complex business and product ideas into language that is understood by all supporting departments.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and data from multiple sources, prepare professional presentations, charts, graphs and tables of information for launch preparation.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams. 
  • Ability to exercise risk and issue management, escalating issues when necessary to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a software company
  • 8+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Superior organization, project management and time management skills
  • A customer-centric mindset, results oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage expectations and establish a solid working relationship with senior management and executives
  • Leadership skills
  • Experience in project management. PMP or similar certification a plus
  • Proven experience in operational and change management
  • Passionate about developing best practices, principles, concepts, and technologies
  • You have a bias for action – you make things happen and hold yourself accountable to achieve desired results.
