As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and final approval for changes to Desktop and Web applications for Financial Consolidation. You will be a member of an agile working team collaborating to enhance and maintain the IDL Products with your test knowledge to ensure that business and non-functional requirements are met.  
As QA engineer you will need to be able to learn financial business logic and understand the underlying business logic to setup reliable test data and test cases. We also appreciate knowhow in Test automation tools like QF-Test. 

What You’ll do: 

• Operate in an agile working team, analyze product test requirements and participate in testing IDL applications 

• Plan and ensure high quality test scenarios, data and results 

• Drive further test automation with QF-Test or other testing frameworks 

• Report bugs and work closely with our Software Engineers and Support Team on finalizing open issues 

• Ensure, that our applications run within the specified environments of Microsoft Server and Client Operating Systems, SQL Server Versions, Azure, Citrix/RDS  

• Run regular tests for hardening install and update procedures before release dates  

• Create valuable documentation and product information about changes for customers and support 

Achievements/Goals within first 6-12 months: 

• We will introduce you to the technical and functional parts of IDL applications as well as the common insightsoftware platform  

• Create and managed automated tests and manual approvals for parts of existing IDL applications 

• Improve and enhance existing automated test cases 

• Collaborate with team members of our international Quality Center of Excellence  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience 

• Deep Understanding of database technologies – especially Microsoft SQL Server – and test automation 

• Experience with manual tests, approval and release processes 

• We expect you to be able to work with Jira and Confluence, Git will be a plus 

• Skills in German and English language are required

• Experience in the financial domain is a plus! 

Non-technical skills

• Knowledge of financial services, banking or accounting concepts is a plus
