Job Description

insightsoftware is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to be a key member of the accounting team based in Bangalore.

What will you do?

·         Strong understanding of GL account definition and ability to translate foreign trial balances to US GAAP trial balance

·         Working with new acquisition personnel on understanding the make-up of the balances and how they need to be transitioned at system cutover

·         Ability to unwind active trial balances for legal entities that are merged, liquidated

·         Strong Netsuite skills – Upload subledger balances at acquisition cutover and reconcile to source data

·         Work with the accounting team to ensure clean GL reconciliations

·         Posting journal entries with adequate supporting documents

·         Ensure a seamless month-end close process

• Understand the overall impact on the financials based on the entries posted.
• Document the process and suggest any process improvement ideas

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Qualified CA/CPA/ACCA with 3-5 years of experience or bachelor’s degree, in finance/accounting with 10-15 years of relevant experience
• Exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively
• Self-starter who can take on responsibility with little oversight
• Ability to work in shifts

Preferred:

• Experience using NetSuite.
• Excellent at excel
