Job Description

• Coach a team of CloudOps and SREs, ensuring that production applications your team supports are stable, reliable, and well-documented.

• Build, maintain, continuously improve, and automate robust & sophisticated production system monitoring for quickly identifying issues preemptively before surfacing it through operations & applications.

• Introduce proactive measures and data-based decisions from dashboards.

• Work closely with Application support, Devops engineers, engineering managers and development teams to ensure that new platforms are designed with scale and operability in mind. Interface with bugs, issues, tasks related to production performance & get it resolved through SREs or escalated to engineering teams.

• Upskill\Cross Skill SREs with enterprise cloud application specific knowledge to be an efficient L2 support & work with engineering teams to improve application based on feedback from production.

• Ensure feedback from production gets to software engineering teams • Implement and improve security posture of our cloud environments

• Quickly identify and solve problems detected in production

• Establish and participate in an on-call rotation • Communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

• Mentor, grow & manage skilled CloudOps\SREs engineers.

  • 10+ years prior experience in large company wide site reliability engineering and management for SaaS applications on AWS or Azure
  •  Hands-on experience in proper metrics instrumentation in software components, to help facilitate real time and remote troubleshooting/performance monitoring for SaaS applications
  •  Passionate about observability
  • Automation mindset
  •  Experience configuring alerts to avoid notifications fatigue
  •  Good cloud networking experience
  •  Desired - Programming experience or prior work as a software developer • Cloud certification is a plus
  •  Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
