insightsoftware is looking for a Finance Manager to lead a team responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining a weekly forecast; preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting; and participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for Senior company leadership. In this role, you must be extremely diligent and organized. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a forecasting process for a complex organization, as well as collecting, interpreting, and analyzing financial information to help drive executive level decision making.

What will you do?

• Prepare a weekly forecast along with detailed analysis and bridge of week over week changes
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
• Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
• Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information
• Research and provide period over period variance explanations of forecasts of financial statements
• Prepare and maintain a cash forecast
• Partner with functional leaders to create annual budgets and related reports 
• Provide ad-hoc financial support to functional managers as needed
• Assist with month-end reporting processes, including preparation of slides for monthly board presentations
• Create and maintain performance dashboards for various departments within insightsoftware 
• Perform routine reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
• Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with standard financial planning and accounting concepts, practices and procedures
• Passion for managing, organizing, and analyzing large and/or ambiguous sets of data
• Proactive thinker, accountable, with high level of intellectual curiosity
• Excellent business judgement, analytical and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of management experience
• Experience in the software industry
• Experience with mergers/acquisitions
• Experience with Private Equity companies
