Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, passionate and highly motivated candidate that will help take Magnitude’s email marketing to the next level. This position will support the marketing teams in all Magnitude business units by creating, executing, and optimizing marketing programs leveraging Marketo.

The marketing automation specialist is responsible for design using existing email and landing page templates, quality assurance (QA), execution, maintenance and reporting for automated marketing programs and email distribution.

This role is tactically focused on the execution of sophisticated, targeted campaigns and nurtures in the Marketo marketing automation platform (MAP). In late fall of 2022 we will be migrating to a Pardot environment. 

This position will support the various business units by testing, refining, and troubleshooting new and existing marketing programs as well as help develop and interpret reporting & analytics to understand program effectiveness and ROI. This includes developing various landing pages and forms in support of these programs. Lastly, assist in completing various data and operational initiatives in Marketo with the goal of ensuring enterprise data quality & integrity.

This position will report to the Director, Global Marketing Operations. In support of Global demand generation and lead/account nurture activities.

Primary Focus Areas

  • Assist marketing teams in the technical execution of demand creation and lead nurture programs
  • Create emails, landing pages, forms and reports within the MAP, including templates for consistency within the marketing function
  • Document MAP processes, programs and procedures
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness metrics related to tactics and programs managed by the MAP and related applications
  • Standardize, cleanse and upload lead record lists into the MAP
  • Develop programs targeting both prospects and existing clients across various channels with the goal of driving conversions and opportunities
  • Test, measure and optimize messaging, assets, programs, segments, tactics, etc. on an ongoing basis
  • Edit, proof-read, and launch targeted email marketing campaigns
  •  Create, modify and test email and landing page templates, ensuring cross-browser and mobile compatibility
  • Assist with data management tasks designed to increase program, tactic, and reporting effectiveness
  • Define and execute personalized experiences for known and anonymous website visitors, and develop, test and optimize messages, content and flows for various audiences
  • Utilize marketing project management system to proactively prepare, gather necessary materials, communicate with contributors, execute within deadline and update status on campaigns
  • Participate in the brainstorming and implementation of new programs, tactics, and processes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years working with digital marketing, with a focus on demand generation and email marketing
  • 2+ years working in Marketo and Salesforce (or comparable MAP/CRM platforms)
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, analyze program effectiveness and ROI
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong data evaluation skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing solutions and business decisions
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies and risk factors
  • Strong editing & proofing skills
  • Knowledge of responsive, fluid, and adaptive email design
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility & testing
  • Understanding of mobile specs/considerations when designing programs
  • Strong attention to detail, strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced marketing team.
