Insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering - Embedded Analytics. This position will assist sales executives in the technical qualification of new sales opportunities, handle product demonstrations, manage technical evaluations and act as the key technical advisor and product advocate for the Logi Analytics Product Family. 

The right candidate has strong executive presence and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will ideally have a solid technical understanding of web application development, and database technologies. The candidate should have a consulting mindset, experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions, and a desire to mentor junior team members. 

Job Outcomes:

• Assist Sales Executives in the technical qualification of new sales opportunities, understand customer requirements and articulate the value proposition of Logi Analytics Product Family to senior technology executives
• Act as primary technical point-of-contact during sales process, implementation, and transition to post-sales support
• Deliver online and in person product demonstrations
• Develop prototypes for prospects using Logi Analytics software, in conjunction with web and data tier technologies
• Work closely with prospects to plan and conduct thorough technical evaluations and "proof of concept" demonstrations of Logi Analytics software
• Work closely with Product Management to prioritize customer enhancement requests and to plan and to contribute to future product releases
• Mentor team members and contribute to team-learning initiatives and activities
• Work cross-departmentally to find solutions to complex scenarios and integration issues
• Propose improvements and innovation for sales calls and product demonstrations based on domain knowledge and current market trends
• Represent Insightsoftware as a speaker at field events or as an author in Logi Analytics-focused publications and blogs
• Share subject matter expertise through Slack posts, community participation and other common company collaboration mechanisms
• Coach sales team-members on deal qualification when necessary

To be successful in this role you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent industry experience
• Strong understanding of web application development and modern data tier technologies
• Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer facing B2B environment

Technical Skills:

• Experience with databases such as Mongo, Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake 
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript/frameworks
• Experience with Rest APIs
• Experience operating in a Linux environment
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology
• Ability to write SQL based queries

• Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability and ability to learn new technologies/concepts
• Ability to quickly understand prospects' complex technical architecture/infrastructure
