Job Description

insightsoftware is looking for an experienced Customer Engagement Owner / Project Manager to join its Professional Services team. As the Project Owner, you will manage the delivery of training and consulting services to public and private companies to help them leverage the value of insightsoftware’s applications and tools in their business. You will own the project from end-to-end, including kickoff, software installation & configuration, user training, and consulting services delivery to new and existing clients.   

What will you do?

  • Acts as primary point of contact for the customer by leading the communication and coordination of all onboarding activities, and providing direction to the internal technical and consulting teams 
  • Manages the software installation and configuration process for new and existing insightsoftware customers 
  • Manages the scope, schedule, and budget for each implementation and training/consulting engagement 
  • Acts as a Project Manager, responsible for executing project plans on time and within budget, consulting with stakeholders and project change management 
  • Maintains project resource and revenue forecasts 
  • Communicates key project dependencies and milestones to customers and internal stakeholders 
  • Prepares and presents project kickoff and other critical project documentation 
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal teams, including professional services consultants, product management, engineers, and support staff 
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of multiple insightsoftware product lines
  • Provide clear and constructive product feedback to product management based on customer requirements 
  • Participate in internal initiatives that help scale the group, document, and implement best practices, and improving our methodology and quality of services delivery 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar field, or equivalent working experience  
  • 3+ years of experience managing software implementation projects and consulting engagements in a professional services organization, customer-facing consulting team, or other similar field 
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or other similar PM tools 
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or other CRMs 
  • Self-starter, with excellent verbal and written communications, organizational, decision-making, research, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills 
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs/environments 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience: Communication, Presentation, Demonstration and Analysis skills
  • PMP Certification 
  • Experience/familiarity with financial reporting software industry 
  • Knowledge of EPM suites of e.g. Oracle, SAP, OneStream or BI suites
