Job Description

The insightsoftware Director, Global Events develops the global event strategy, oversees event execution, measurement, and manages the events team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, take-charge events professional with a passion for sales and customer service. This position must understand events strategy, planning, trends and processes, how to increase goals, drive results, and work multiple events simultaneously. From large trade shows to smaller partner or client events, this role will oversee all aspects of virtual, onsite, and hybrid events. Ability to work well cross-functionally is essential.

What will you do?

  • Lead the global tradeshow strategy and execution for our brand.
  • Work with internal and partner stakeholders to determine global events strategy around partner-led events. 
  • Organize internal and external corporate events as needed.
  • Supervise and manage the insightsoftware events team.
  • Create processes that drive events efficiency and follow industry standards and trends.
  • Manage team to develop standard practices and coordinate pre-event communication timeline and post-event follow-up actions with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with event organizers, staff, vendors, and internal/partner stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and manage partnerships with exhibit/audio visual companies, manage hotel relationships and contract negotiations, coordinate show sponsorships, contracts, deliverables, and marketing collateral.
  • Work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Manage events budget, performance metrics and documented process for regular analysis and reporting.
  • Track and analyze metrics from events to demonstrate ROI.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of managing corporate events, trade shows and customer experiences 
  • 3+ years in a people-management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or another related degree or equivalent work experience
