This Database Administrator position requires 5+ years with hands-on experience as MS SQL Database Administrator supporting both Production and Non-production environments and working directly with MS SQL Versions 2008 thru 2019. Oracle Database experience is preferred but not required. The position involves daily interaction with internal business partners as well as providing end to end technical guidance and support.

Key responsibilities: 

• Database administration, replication, backup, recovery and monitoring
• Ensure that the databases are in line with compliance rules and standards
• Participate in projects and application testing activities
• Provide on call support
• Plan and implement complex changes
• Investigate and resolve issues
• Create and maintain Power Shell scripts
• Make recommendations for process improvements 
• Design, create, analyze and implement databases and data models
• Develop and implement database recovery plans and procedures
• Collect evidence for compliance tasks
• Perform MS SQL database performance analysis and optimization, define bottlenecks and manage testing and production implementation
• Identify and proactively resolve problems that could impact system performance, reliability and usability
• Manage activities ensuring adherence to Information Security Policy and corporate standards
• Perform deep impact analysis of problems, projects or technical solutions
• Actively participate and provide valuable inputs to global initiatives
• Predict future MS SQL trends for hardware usage and user load
• Support multiple application and support teams with numerous on-going projects
• Provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and performance related issues
• Be instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of MS SQL database and database related tools
• Must have strong hands-on experience in coding, debugging and tuning MS SQL TSQL

Successful candidates must have the following professional attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications or a closely-related discipline.
