Front End Web Designer

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with leadership and developers to design exceptional, SEO-friendly digital experiences in WordPress
• Own all aspects of the website user experience from research, to design, to basic front-end development
• Design and develop wireframes and mockups web experiences
• Front-end development utilizing HTML5 & CSS and Bootstrap framework
• Ensure code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
• Perform performance (PageSpeed) testing & optimization
• Lead discussions, gather project requirements, develop user acceptance testing plans
• Design and execute tests to optimize the user experience and improve conversion rates
• Revise, edit, proofread & optimize web content

Require Experience + Skills:

• Portfolio required
• 2+ years’ experience in website UX/UI design
• 2+ years’ experience in website development
• Expert-level understanding of web interactions, web-based layouts, and responsive design
• Basic understanding of Photoshop & Illustrator and optimizing images for web
• Experience with WordPress as a platform, including custom post types, taxonomies, and use of WordPress beyond typical “blog” use cases is a plus
• Experience using GIT, LESS, Sass, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp is a plus
