What you’re here to do
As a Senior Researcher, you help Product Innovation make smart decisions — fast — especially when things are early, ambiguous or still forming.
You’ll design and run lean, applied research for incubators, discovery and time‑boxed work. You’ll dig beneath surface‑level feedback to uncover what really matters, then turn complexity into clear insight, trade‑offs and recommendations teams can act on.
You’ll shape what we explore, what we test and what we do next — while also helping level‑up research practice across Product & Innovation.
This role will be remote and you'll be located in the UK with occasional trips to the H/O in Dundee.
How you’ll make an impact
- Design right‑sized research for fast‑moving, early‑stage work
- Turn big, fuzzy questions into focused learning goals
- Uncover real user, customer and business needs (not just what people say they want)
- Spot hidden tensions, motivations and unmet needs
- Synthesize messy inputs into clear themes and confident recommendations
- Help teams balance competing needs and make smart trade‑offs
- Bring insight into opportunity shaping, concepts and early testing
- Share findings in ways that are clear, credible and useful
- Bring others into the research journey and build shared understanding
- Strengthen research practice, community and our insights library
Who you’ll work with
Product Managers, Learning Designers, Core Research, Interaction Designers, Engineers, Innovation leaders — and plenty of curious minds across Product Learning & Innovation.

Qualifications
You’re great at:
- Research judgement and synthesis
- Working confidently in ambiguity
- Turning insight into stories that influence decisions
- Collaborating across disciplines
- Building research practice, not just doing projects
You’ve got experience:
- Owning research end‑to‑end
- Supporting innovation, incubation or discovery work
- Using a range of methods — and adapting when needed
- Delivering insight under constraint
- Synthesising evidence from multiple sources
