A leading retail finance company based in West London are expanding their Network and Infrastructure team to support a large-scale IT transformation programme planned over several years.
As part of this expansion, they require an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Team. Reporting into the Network and Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Engineer will receive on the job training to be able to support and number of initiatives. You will either be operating as an Infrastructure Engineer or looking to take the next step in your career, either way there you will have the opportunity to learn and drive your career forward.
They do not require experience in all of the bellow as this is a position offering you room to grow and develop, this should give you a very good understanding of where they will train you and how your career will develop:
·Work closely with the Network and Infrastructure Team on various projects and initiatives
·Liaise with team members and external suppliers to identify resolutions to outstanding tickets that are not resolved and escalate where necessary
·Ensure SolarWinds monitoring thresholds are correct for Network and & Security equipment
·Day-to-day ‘hands-on’ system management and security of the Server Infrastructure.
·Follow best practice and proactively identify change in advance of issue to enhance customer service, performance and general IT service provision of voice and data infrastructure.
·Deploy, manage and maintain Server Systems adhering to Change Control measures.
·Ensure all Windows, Active Directory and Office 365 related incidents are resolved to agreed service levels and the professional service delivery objective are met.
·Deploy, manage and maintain all Server Systems adhering to Change Control measures.
·Maintain, update and secure the Windows and VMware infrastructure, including producing and updating technical documentation and policies.
·3rd line support for escalated IT Service Desk tickets.
·Maintain Office 365 / Azure Management & Migrations
·Manage Anti-Virus policy for endpoints / email protection / backup management
·Ensure vulnerabilities are remediated within the agreed SLA’s
·Participate in the governance process to influence projects and adhere to PCI DSS compliance requirements
·Provide regular updates and reports to the Network and Infrastructure Manager
So, what do they need from you?
Aptitude and attitude are as important as the background experience. However, we expect that you will have operated to at least 2nd line Engineer with some exposure to 3rd line and experience monitoring and administrating Windows and Active Directory Environments.
Above this, you should possess experience in:
·Developing skills and certifications
·Active Directory / Group Policy and Office 365 (email) administration
·SCCM configuration and deployment
·VMware administration and upgrades
·An understanding of network services & protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, e-mail, FTP, SFTP
·ITIL
