Working for a truly amazing charity who support autistic young people and their families, you will help transform their lives by not only caring for and supporting them day to day but helping them to learn and develop life skills and improve their quality of life.

As part of a highly trained team, you will be fully supported in developing your career. Not only will you gain a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, you will also gain Autism Practitioner certification – all paid for by the charity. Upon completion of these certifications, your salary will increase to reflect your value in the industry.

Day to day you will help deliver the care and support needed as well as being involved in activities individually designed to help develop their skills and learn – this could include reading, playing games, playing sports, baking, going shopping and other day trips and leisure activities.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity which gives immense satisfaction, knowing you will contribute to the development and care of autistic young people especially when you see the joy and sense of achievement it brings to them and their families.

There are a number of vacancies at this specialist residential school and we are looking for applicants of varied backgrounds who enjoy caring for others and want to develop a career in a very people-based charity.

Specific care experience is not necessary as full training and certification will be provided, although if you are already working in a care environment either professionally or through a club or association we are keen to speak with you. Typically, this could include:

- Volunteers with organisations such as youth clubs, beavers, guides, charities, etc.

- Experienced care workers with a track record working in residential care homes, NHS and healthcare, nurseries, education (pre-school, primary or secondary), charities, etc.

- First-hand experience caring for autistic children or adults.

We welcome applications from anyone permitted to work in the UK including anyone looking to relocate to the UK as long as you possess a UK or European Passport or hold a valid work Visa / Permit (unfortunately sponsorship is not available for these positions).
