Job Description

Inova Simplicity Health Clinics, with locations opening in Sterling, Alexandria and Annandale, is seeking a full-time Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for each of its three locations. The Clinics will be open 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. The NP or PA is responsible for the provision of healthcare services to patients receiving care at a Simplicity Health clinic including: conducting health assessments, making differential diagnosis, prescribing/providing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management. Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The NP/PA is accountable for maintaining high quality health and wellness programs and fully meeting all regulatory and compliance standards. The NP/PA is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in healthcare team activities, and utilize resources (human and material) appropriately. The NP/PA reports to and collaborates with Simplicity Health Clinics Medical Director with oversight from Clinics Director.

Qualifications

3- 5 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN required Demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills communication skills Education/License/Certification Requirements: Must have BSN and Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners. RN Compact License (depending on State of primary residence) and a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia. BLS certification must be current. Current DEA License required. Preferred Skills: 2 or more years of nurse practitioner experience strongly preferred. Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred. National Certification as an Adult/Family nurse practitioner experience strongly preferred.
