COO consists of 9 functions including: Satellite Operations, Network Operations, Service Assurance, Service Delivery Aviation and Customer Assurance, Service Delivery and Supply Chain, Project Management Office, Global Cyber Security and Group IT

Job Description

Primary role purpose:

Work with the Director of Quality Management and colleagues across Inmarsat to deploy the corporate Quality Management System (QMS) to discrete segments of the business (e.g. PMO, and Network Operations) with the objective of quickly gaining performance improvement and AS9100 accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and improve the Inmarsat’s QMS deployment model
  • Design & improve the specific artefacts and materials required to meet the requirements of AS9100
  • Lead AS9100 auditing in their specific business segment and be an available auditing resource to support other AS9100 deployments
  • Coach colleagues in the benefits and use of the corporate quality management system
  • Be one of the subject matter technical experts for AS9100
  • Ensure on-going sustainability of the accreditation
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and improve the Inmarsat’s QMS deployment model

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Lead Auditor certified for:
  • Quality (AS9100)
  • Practical / hands-on experience in deploying Quality Management Systems to meet the requirements of AS9100
  • Wide successful experience interacting with stakeholders of all levels to build close working relationships
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and working as a coach to aide in the development & improvement of the quality system
  • Familiar with e-management systems e.g. Q-Pulse (ideally a super user)
  • Ability to deliver quick and robust solutions, by clearly identifying the root cause of problems
  • Detail-oriented & tenacious
  • Excellent MS Office & Share Point knowledge.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Lead Auditor for H&S and Environment (ISO 45001 and 14001)
  • Lead auditor for Information Security (ISO 27001)
  • Work experience in Satellite communication
