Job Description

IEP seeks a hands-on working manager responsible for both functional and strategic activities of Human Resources throughout our 24/365 operations.  This position reports to the President and works closely with employees at all levels, including management and labor.

Qualifications

 Our ideal candidate will possess the following expertise:

    • Proven performance of HR functions and responsibilities (recruitment, on-boarding, retention, labor relations, benefit selection and administration, compensation, coaching and support of supervisors, safety program and worker compensation administration) and ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-pace environment
    • Demonstrated proficiency in research, development and implementation of policies and practices to achieve Company goals and/or regulatory compliance;
    • Excellent communication capability to effectively implement company culture, policies, and practices
    • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations as well as effectively represent the Company within the community
    • Strategic development of HR role in furtherance of Company goals; continued cultivation of professional and technical knowledge
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources

Preference will be given to candidates who also have:

    • Experience working with collective bargaining units including negotiation and administration of union contracts
    • Experience with development and implementation of HRIS
    • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification
