Job Description

Our Accounting Associate is responsible for general accounting and payroll processes as well as administrative and bookkeeping duties. Daily tasks will include high volume data entry, troubleshooting issues, account reconciliation, maintaining data and file integrity in ERP system and general support for company operations. This position does not have any supervisory responsibility and reports directly to the company Controller. This position is full time, exempt, and benefit eligible.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform tasks associated with A/P, A/R, payroll and material receipts; assist with fixed assets and reporting, and maintain data integrity in ERP and production systems.
  • Prepare and/or proofread correspondence and reports required by management or government organizations.
  • Understand cost accounting, reconcile accounts and bank statements, prepare month-end and year-end account audits, , compile and analyze data as requested.
  • Participate in department process improvement and training.
  • Share receptionist duties with team of four.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college degree in accounting, business, or related discipline required;. Cumulative coursework and relevant experience may be considered. 
  • 2 years' experience in accounting required; Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly functioning computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office Products and familiarity with standard office equipment required. Experience with JD Edwards preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate information within all levels of organization; possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check.
