Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Manager, Catalog Analytics and Solutions, to contribute to our team in our La Vergne, TN office. In this role, you will manage the identification, gathering, analysis, and reporting of data related to the Lightning Source and IngramSpark catalogs to support the development, enhancement, and visibility efforts of the Content Solutions team. Additionally, you’ll provide analytics and perspective on the health of the global Catalog. The Manager will work to design and support the automation of curation and internal data mapping within the catalog. You’ll build and implement an audit structure confirming the retail availability of the catalog for strategic online retailers and design actionable results reporting. You will also partner across our organization to ensure that publisher and title information is being communicated efficiently and reliably across systems to help drive the visibility of our catalog to the market. Finally, you will manage an analyst to support this work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or directly related year-for-year experience
  • 2 years of experience in analytics, data storytelling, or data research
  • 2 years leading implementation of projects and managing external relationships

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior book or publishing experience
  • Experience with creating and automating reports
  • Experience with presentations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops data and workflow solutions and best practices, in partnership with Catalog Operations and IngramSpark Distribution, that meet business needs.
  • Creates and reports on analytical insights and interpretations of the catalog to influence title visibility, sales, and catalog growth.
  • Designs and executes an audit process that allows the business to have an understanding of metadata health metrics and catalog availability into the market and works with appropriate teams to solve problems identified through the metrics
  • Develop KPI reporting and visualization for catalog health from an internal and external perspective
  • Interpret problems and provide solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and statistics.
  • Partners across the Ingram organization to improve internal mapping processes to ensure consistency of data.
  • Partners with Ingram Data Services, Commercial Sales, and Catalog Operations to ensure feeds are optimal for best commercial and library visibility
  • Ensures continuous improvement of data sources, processes and analytical tools that will drive better and faster insight.
  • Manages an analyst, ensuring work output meets all accuracy and department standards and the goals of the Catalog Analytics team.
