Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Application Development to help lead our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area).  

This individual will lead an application development team and own the development and implementation of a Software as a Service platform.  While tech savvy, this role is focused on maximizing business return on investment, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.  This leader has a natural curiosity and strong analytical skills useful for helping the team solve complex issues.   They develop a strategic product line by integrating customer needs with market opportunity and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy.  This leader also communicates with the Steering Committee to develop, manage, and maintain advanced product line roadmaps, priorities and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or directly related experience
  • 8 years of application developer/software engineer experience including experience with one or more of the following applications:  Developing and supporting software development teams using common methodologies and software development lifecycles to build applications, Understanding of the latest, technology options to design patterns to support the growth and scale of applications and products as they grow.  Other standards based feed synchronization, Continuous Integration Tools
  • 5 years supervisory experience

We have a preference for:

  • Experience working with Content Systems
  • Experience with security and compliance

The Senior Manager, Application Development’s key responsibilities are:

  • Oversees and contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications,
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Acts as an advisor to application development team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Collaborates with partner development teams to support channel integration development.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to manage and develop direct reports.
  • Maintains current knowledge of software development best practices.
  • Oversees application development with contract developers and other Ingram associates.
  • Provides full application development life cycle support, including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Supports development with appropriate documentation.
  • Leads the team to provide all estimates scoped by available information.
  • Engages business partners to reach agreements on decision points.
  • Develops product line strategic vision, incorporating customer needs with market opportunity and company strategy.
  • Understands and develops high level subject matter expertise on product line’s competitive landscape.
  • Works with third parties to assess partnership opportunities and external requirements.
  • Manages a technical roadmap that communicates clear priorities, timelines and costs.
  • Oversees SaaS compliance with all policies and regulations
  • Mentors engineering staff on technical skills and best practices.
