Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Director, Digital Services to contribute to our team in our NYC office.  We offer hybrid schedules, however, this person must live in the local area.

In this role, you will develop and execute the global Digital publisher sales strategy, focusing on developing and growing existing and new revenue streams across the book industry.  As the Director, Digital Services, you’ll manage the Digital sales team to ensure sales goals are achieved. You’ll strive to increase client success and satisfaction throughout the Digital business. Part of your role will include partnering with the CoreSource support team and IPS client management team to ensure business needs align with customer requirements. You will also provide direction to and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure this group provides timely and accurate data to sales and service teams and customers. In addition, you will be responsible for the CoreSource P&L to ensure revenue targets and direct selling expense goals are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years’ sales/bookselling/publishing industry experience
  • 5 years’ management experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with and success in ebook and e-audio services
  • P&L management experience
  • Sales forecasting experience
  • Experience leading global teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and owns the CoreSource Sales Forecast, P&L, and Sales and Service expense budget
  • Manages a sales and service team to effectively build a new opportunity pipeline, develop profitable proposals, and close new business in support of this group.
  • Plans and executes business development strategies and initiatives that maximize revenue, margin and inventory opportunities for the company, and deliver long-term partner relations.
  • Works with Product, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Support teams where appropriate to develop solutions that will drive revenue and profit
  • Identifies potential new markets that promote long-term growth and proposes deals in response to business opportunities
  • Reviews weekly and monthly sales objectives against target and prospective client status
  • Provides market, product information, and competitor feedback on Digital market opportunities to executive management.

Hiring Salary Range: $142,175 – $207,556.  This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
