VitalSource®, an Ingram Content Group Company, is hiring for a Business Intelligence Analyst to contribute to our eCommerce team in Raleigh, NC

The eCommerce Business Intelligence analyst will support our high growth direct to student business. The analyst will utilize a data driven approach to identify opportunities to improve sales performance and the customer experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, passionate about e-Commerce, and thrive in role utilizing data to drive optimization strategies. A successful candidate should also have a strong knowledge of SQL & Excel, great attention to detail and excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years’ experience working in an analytical role, pulling and analyzing data sets and providing actionable insights
  • 2 year of SQL experience
  • 1 year of e-Commerce experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of data analysis
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Experience with interpreting & communicating data-driven insights
  • Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of e-Commerce concepts and metrics
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adwords a plus
  • Knowledge of Elastic Search a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract financial, customer and inventory data from various sources and systems to develop a holistic view of business performance
  • Perform data analysis to supply business with insights on business performance and KPIs
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards and summary reports for management and stakeholders
  • Develop new insightful views to synthesize complex data
  • Identifies ways and opportunities to automate reporting for self service
  • Collaborate with sales, customer success and inventory teams to address product inventory, pricing and metadata gaps
  • Create, automate and manage performance measurement tools for eCommerce team
  • Identify ways to improve quality and use of metadata
