Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a hiring for a Software Engineer to contribute to our Application Services team in LaVergne, TN, just outside the Nashville area.
 
As a software engineer you will leverage the latest database technologies as a basis for analytical application development.  Develop and modify internal facing software applications in focused technical areas. Gain expertise to provide full application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field; or completion of intensive software boot camp; or 1 year of software development experience. 
  • 1 year of database development experience using modern database technologies (documented coursework can be substituted for experience)

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Excel experience
  • Basic SQL experience 
  • Working knowledge of basic software development languages and principles
  • Knowledge of visual platform tools and technology
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Analytical Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and modifies internal facing software applications.
  • Provides basic application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Works with team members to identify and enforce design patterns, standards, etc.
  • Explores new technologies and development techniques.
  • Coordinates with users and product owners to gather basic requirements.
