Job Description

VitalSource®, an Ingram Content Group (ICG) company is hiring for an Integration Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC.  This individual will provide set-up and support for complex system integrations between VitalSource platform and higher education institutions and channels to ensure effective and efficient onboarding of these integrations. They will develop and maintain efficient communications with the team, and delegate duties in the most efficient way to scale relevant processes.


The Integration Manager will work closely with the institutional team, and with product management to stay current on pipeline and upcoming product releases and improvements. They will maintain impeccable records, and a firm grasp of customer needs, conversations, and outstanding items.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related year for year experience
  • 3 years’ experience in the software industry

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of APIs, databases, reports, and software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of MS Excel
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements complex customer integrations and processes; integrations will include but will not be limited to: Digital textbook distribution platform, ecommerce platforms, and physical book distribution platforms all utilizing VitalSource’s suite of APIs
  • Maintains expert knowledge of APIs, industry integration standards, and their real-world applications
  • Maintains expert knowledge of product updates and systems interactions and how these affect integrations partners
  • Gathers business requirements where necessary to engage with Product Management on development of new product features or enhancements
  • Communicates company software’s current features, upcoming features and issues
  • Designs and maintains processes for scaling and supporting multiple integrations that will work for rapid company growth.
  • Works closely with project managers, product team, and other integration managers to assist with the design of, and evolution of core back end systems critical for growth and customer health.
  • Works closely with customer support organization to design and implement 24 x 7, 365 escalation and support policies
