Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Business Development Manager to contribute to our Thrivist team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.  This individual manages the strategic direction and execution of Thrivist growth of physical and digital product.  Oversees, actively promotes, coordinates, and participates in development and growth of sales and/or service activities through engagement with publishers and school districts. Ensures the operational infrastructure to support print and digital service offerings with Thrivist platforms. Builds the customer base and pipeline and provides necessary support to both physical and digital customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years specific market or equivalent experience in sales and business development in K-12 sales or K-12 training; OR former teacher, principal or superintendent

Preferred Skills:

  • Large network of and/or superintendent contacts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes and manages the strategic direction and relationship with Mississippi and Louisiana districts for both physical and digital products. 
  • Partners with Mississippi and Louisiana school districts on a daily basis, to complete needs analysis and provide recommendations that supports and helps meet their print and digital goals.
  • Partners with management to oversee and direct all operations regarding publisher services and integrations.
  • Develops and drives the value proposition of Thrivist within the Mississippi and Louisiana districts to grow the digital distribution of content.
  • Develops reporting that measures business performance, growth, profitability and efficiency.
  • Identifies potential new opportunities that promote long-term growth and proposes deals in response to business opportunities.
