VitalSource Technologies LLC is seeking a full-time Intermediate Software Engineer at our offices in Raleigh, NC. The Intermediate Software Engineer is responsible for developing, building, and maintaining global, high-scale business-critical applications and API’s which are core compounds of the VitalSource eTextbook platform. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 5 years of demonstrated ability (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) using modern development frameworks, including Rails and Spring; (2) using modern programming languages, including Ruby, Javascript, and Python; and (3) designing, operating, and developing relational databases, including MySQL and Oracle. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated ability (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) using deployment automation, including Kubernetes and docker; and (2) using Elixir programming language.
