VitalSource Technologies LLC is seeking a full-time Software QA Engineer, Lead at our offices in San Francisco, CA. The Software QA Engineer, Lead is responsible for leading QA Engineers’ efforts across a set of applications developed by cross-functional Scrum teams. This position requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field plus three (3) years related experience. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years related (progressive post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) writing new test automation framework in Ruby and integrating it with software build and deploy process using Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, AWS Code Pipeline and AWS cloudformation; (2) writing automated web application load testing scripts using HP Loadrunner and incorporate them into Github version control; (3) developing testing plans including manual functional (UI) testing, automated functional testing, automated performance testing, automated API testing, automated unit testing and automated integration testing; (4) conducting iterative tests and tuning Apache Tomcat and application server threads, garbage collection threads, and database connection threads to improve performance and reliability of website under load conditions; and (5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Ruby on Rails, Python, Javascript, Unix, Splunk, Tableau, Elasticsearch, AWS Cloudwatch, Jenkins, Github, JIRA, Postman and HP Loadrunner.
