Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a SQL Analyst to contribute to our Commercial team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.  This individual consolidates, tracks, trends and reports operations and financial data that is derived from multiple data points; creates daily, weekly and monthly reports and presentations as needed for Senior Leadership team to be presented to key stakeholders, Sr. Business Leaders, company executives, customers, etc.  Also, they provide tools to Operations Management and Process Managers to detect problem areas in real time and take timely action as well as develop tools, reports, techniques and/or assists in implementing reporting systems for operations support, including but not limited to: ensuring reporting consistency, standardized formatting, and professional presentation; processes and issues documentation, reviews and creates subsequent reporting and process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business or related area OR equivalent, year-for-year, directly related experience
  • 3 years of experience in redesign/improving workflows & business process or corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, operations analysis & modeling, which includes course work or boot-camp experience
  • 1 year of experience with SQL and relational databases
  • 1 or more years advanced EXCEL experience to include data manipulation/design, charts, formulas, and pivot tables

Preferred Skills:

  • 3 or more years of experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Development experience using Python or R
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Qlik, Tableau)
  • Data analysis experience with ability to provide actionable business solutions
  • Knowledge of prescriptive or predictive analytics
  • Financial industry experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enables strategic planning and execution of strategy in areas including business case development, pricing, new market expansion, and others through reporting and financial analysis of sales and operational data.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales planning/reporting and operational analysis across the business
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of the customer, synthesizes findings, and deploys effective business analysis to drive customer retention and improve customer satisfaction results.
  • Provides research interpretation to understand customer segments and behaviors and identifies critical customer knowledge gaps, trends, and opportunities.
  • Consolidates key findings and develops actionable insights to connect the broader customer story-line with business results.
