Intrepid by VitalSource is hiring for Sr. Software Engineer (FullStack React/Java) to contribute to our team in Seattle, WA.  

Join Intrepid by VitalSource as we lead and define a new market category in the corporate learning technology space with our innovative and award winning learning experience platform.  As a Sr. React/Java FullStack Engineer for Intrepid, you will join our team in Seattle’s historic, vibrant, and conveniently-located Pioneer Square.  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or directly related year for year experience.
• 6+ years experience developing in modern technologies/languages
• 4+ years experience in modern front end development
  • Direct experience in React, or experience in another modern front end framework with a desire to learn React
• 4+ years of Java web application development experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment developing solutions for our core products and platforms.
• Rapidly help migrate our front end from Backbone (Marionette) to React
• Develop creative and innovative solutions for the next generation of educational learning.
• Provide full application development life cycle support, including specifications, prototypes, development, documentation, quality assurance and deployment.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences that include both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
