VitalSource®, an Ingram Content Group Company, is currently recruiting for a Sr. Android Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA

As an android engineer for our VitalSource Technologies (VST), you would be able to enhance and build Android application solutions for students and instructors around the world and play a part in leading this booming revolution in the educational technology industry!  This role will perform development and maintenance of the Vital Source Bookshelf Android Application.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 6 years of application developer/software engineer experience
  • 1-year experience in Android development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in an agile team environment on the next generation of educational software products and platforms.
  • Report to Director of Software Engineering
  • Collaborates with product managers to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Provide full application development life cycle support, including research, specifications, prototypes, development, documentation, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, cross product teams, business stakeholders and external partners.
  • Will work in an agile development environment and a continuous deployment environment using Jenkins.
