Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join our Application Services team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville Area). This individual will leverage the latest database technologies as a basis for analytical application engineering.  This involves modeling data, developing ETL processes and creating an optimal platform for data retrieval in support of both internal and external facing applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or directly related year for year experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience with C#.Net
  • 2+ years of professional experience with relational database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with APIs
  • Development experience using JavaScript or Angular
  • Experience with MVC   
  • Knowledge and/or experience with messaging systems (Tipco, EMS, Business Works, MQ, ActiveMQ, etc.)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles/systems experience
  • Architectural leadership experience
  • Knowledge of SSIS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, modify, and maintain internal and external facing database applications as part of an Agile/SCRUM engineering team.
  • Provide full product life cycle support, including creating specifications, researching products, database development, customized reporting, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Work with experienced team members across the country to identify and enforce design patterns and standards.
  • Explore new technologies and development techniques.
